General Training: Asbestos Occurrence on Ships, 1 day
(AML Ch. 3, §3, AFS 2006:1 Asbestos, TSFS 2009:119 Shipping)
Target Audience: Everyone working on board.
Content: We cover asbestos properties, health effects, occurrence, protective measures, emergency procedures, handling of personal protective equipment (PPE), work methods, control measures, waste management, remediation measures, and regulations regarding medical check-ups.
Specialized Training, 2 days

Target Audience: Supervisors or occupational groups performing structural/technical work on board.
Content: A basic training course according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority’s Statute Book AFS 2006:1 §36 for those working with asbestos. The training includes information on demolition and remediation indoors, outdoors, and outside of enclosures (e.g., in a glove-bag) and provides you with the certification to work with asbestos.
We cover asbestos properties, health effects, occurrence, protective measures, emergency procedures, handling of personal protective equipment (PPE), work methods, control measures, waste management, remediation measures, regulations regarding medical check-ups, and demolition techniques with practical application exercises.
Supplementary and Refresher Course, 1 Day

Target Audience: Certified individuals in need of an update.
Content: By law, those working with asbestos must supplement their knowledge every five years. This training day is a quick refresher and update of what you learned during your basic training. Completing this course ensures you remain certified to handle asbestos for an additional five years.
